Special Guest at Lytham Community Comic Con ❤️🤍💙

We're delighted to announce that award-winning actor, Reece Ryan will be joining us at Lytham Community Comic Con this August ⭐

Reece has enjoyed an incredible career across television, film, West End theatre, pantomime and live stage hosting, entertaining audiences throughout the UK and beyond 🎭

Most recently, Reece appeared in Tip Toe, the Channel 4 drama miniseries created and written by Russell T Davies. Horror fans may also recognise him as the lead character in Boarhog, a role that earned him the Best Actor award at the LA Basement Horror Awards 🏆

His theatre credits include beloved productions such as Blood Brothers, Oliver! and Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music, showcasing his versatility as a performer both on screen and on stage 🎶

Beyond entertainment, Reece has helped raise more than £2.5 million for charity and was honoured with the prestigious British Citizen Award for Services to Entertainment and Charity in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the community 👏

Don't Forget that Thursday Night is Board Games Night 🎲

Thornton Cleveleys Board Games Club runs every week, where there is a variety of games available to play and beginners are more than welcome. There is also FREE Tea and Coffee available ☕

When: Every Thursday, 7pm - 10pm

Where: 1st Thornton Cleveleys Scout Hut, Marsh Road, Thornton, FY5 2TY

Cost: Entry is £3 for adults, £1 for children 10 - 17, min age 10+, must be accompanied and supervised by an adult 👍

If it's your first time at the club, then it's totally FREE ❤️

Plus, Community Comic Con CIC is proud to support Thornton Cleveleys Board Games Club, helping them make THE LAST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH COMPLETELY FREE FOR EVERYONE 🫶

National Volunteers' Week ❤️🤍💙

This week we want to say a huge THANK YOU to every single volunteer who helps make Community Comic Con CIC possible 🫶

From our directors and committee members to the photographers, workshop leaders, cosplayers, activity volunteers, performers, podcast producers and everyone who gives up their time to help behind the scenes, Community Comic Con CIC simply could not happen without you 🫵

Last year alone, 52 amazing volunteers helped us welcome about 2,500 people to our free Community Comic Con. Whether you gave an hour, a day or countless hours throughout the year, every contribution made a difference 👍

Volunteering is about more than just helping at an event. It's about building confidence, making friends, learning new skills, supporting your community and creating opportunities for others 🌟

With only around two months to go until Lytham Community Comic Con, we're always looking for more amazing people to get involved. Whether you'd like to help for a few hours or be part of the team throughout the day, we'd love to hear from you. If you're interested in volunteering, simply drop us a message 👌

We're also incredibly proud that Community Comic Con CIC has made the final five in the Event of the Year category at the Coastal Radio DAB Local Business Awards 2026 🏆

This Friday, eight of our volunteers will be attending the awards ceremony at the iconic Tower Ballroom in Blackpool to represent our CIC and celebrate this fantastic achievement. The tickets were very expensive and we would have loved to bring even more of our volunteers along to share the moment, but we know they will all be there with us in spirit 😁

To be recognised as one of the top five events on the Fylde Coast is a huge achievement in itself and a reflection of the hard work, dedication and passion of every volunteer who has helped us along the way 🙂

This achievement belongs to every volunteer who has helped us build something special for the community 🤝

We’re excited to welcome horror film Director Craig Quinn to Lytham Community Comic Con this summer 🙌

Craig is a talented Writer, Director and Actor who is passionate about showcasing local talent and bringing his horror films to life right here in the North West 🎬

His work focuses on creating unique, authentic films, often using local surroundings and working with local creatives to shine a spotlight on the incredible talent within our region 🫶

On the day, you’ll be able to chat with Craig about his work, hear about his latest projects and gain real insight into the world of filmmaking 👀

Whether you’re an aspiring filmmaker, actor or just someone who loves horror films, Craig is definitely a must-meet guest 🫵
