Looking to unleash your creativity this summer? We've got three fantastic FREE workshops taking place throughout the day at Lytham Community Comic Con, led by talented creators who are passionate about sharing their skills ✍️🎨

🦎 Comic Character Creation with Peter Houghton creator of Space Axolotl Comics:
Learn how comic characters are brought to life, from simple shapes and ideas to memorable heroes and villains. Then create your very own original character complete with personality and backstory.

👻 Short Horror Story Writing with Ashley R Lister:
Award-winning author Ashley Lister will guide you through the art of writing short horror fiction, sharing tips on creating atmosphere, building suspense and crafting stories that leave readers wanting more. Whether you're a seasoned writer or a complete beginner, this workshop is sure to inspire.

📖 Comic Strip Creation with Peter Houghton creator of Space Axolotl Comics:
Discover how comics tell stories through sequential panels before creating your own mini comic strip with a beginning, middle and ending.

Best of all, every workshop is completely FREE! 😲

Spaces will be limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To avoid disappointment, we'll be opening advance reservations closer to the event and will share full details on how to book your place soon 👍

Community Comic Con CIC is proud to support Thornton Cleveleys Board Games Club by making the LAST THURSDAY of every month FREE for everyone 👍

It’s part of our mission to support local community groups, reduce barriers to entry and help people build friendships through shared hobbies 🤝

Thornton Cleveleys Board Games Club runs every week with a huge variety of games available and beginners are always welcome 🙂

There’s also FREE tea and coffee on offer ☕

🗓 When: Every Thursday, 7pm – 10pm

📍 Where: 1st Thornton Cleveleys Scout Hut, Marsh Road, Thornton, FY5 2TY

💷 Normal Cost:
Adults £3
Children (10–17) £1
Minimum age 10+ (must be accompanied and supervised by an adult)

If it’s your first ever visit to the club, that’s FREE too ❤️

Join the Community Comic Con Fellowship ❤️🤍💙

Community Comic Con CIC exists to support, promote and empower creatives, clubs and organisations within the Comic Con and wider pop-culture community 👍

Through our free, not-for-profit, volunteer-led events, social media platforms, podcast, community groups and outreach events, we help artists, traders, cosplayers, makers, clubs and community groups reach new audiences and connect with their community 🫶

We also support initiatives that tackle social isolation, promote wellbeing and create welcoming spaces where people can find friendship, belonging and confidence through shared interests ❤️

We're inviting businesses, traders, organisations and individuals to become part of the Community Comic Con Fellowship 🧝🧙

Many larger organisations have Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes that focus on giving something back to their communities. The Community Comic Con Fellowship offers a similar opportunity, just on a smaller scale 🤏

We already have some fantastic businesses and individuals that are part of the Community Comic Con Fellowship, supporting us through funding, services, equipment, prizes, expertise and volunteer support. Their contributions help us create opportunities for creatives, clubs and community groups while keeping our events and activities free and accessible for everyone 🙂

Now we'd love to welcome even more businesses and individuals into the Fellowship. No matter the size of your organisation, your support can help us continue making a positive difference across the Fylde Coast and within the Comic Con Community 🫵
