This International Women’s Day, we’re supporting the ’S call to tackle harassment and make our communities safer for women and girls across

The latest survey of more than 4,800 women and girls reveals:

• 93% modify their daily behaviour to avoid danger

• 92% are concerned about anti-social behaviour

• 91% worry about large groups of men

• 91% cross the street to avoid men

These statistics represent our daughters, mothers, colleagues, friends and neighbours.

Together, we can challenge the behaviours that make women feel unsafe and help create spaces where everyone feels respected.

We would like to thank Chris Webb MP for mentioning us in Parliament and recognising the work that our Charities staff and volunteers do for our community and for our Town. Also mentioning two other great Charities in Streetlife and Helping Hearts - Fylde, Wyre and Blackpool. All working together with other Charities too, meeting regularly with Blackpool Councils Housing Options and other organisations to support our local rough sleeping and homeless community.

🏗️ Questioned the Secretary of State for Energy on how we can better support new jobs and opportunities for local young people

🚂 Raised serious concerns with the Secretary of State for Transport about cuts to direct trains between Blackpool and London and secured a meeting to push for these services to be restored

🛌 The Leader of the House joined me in thanking our local homeless charities (Helping Hearts, Blackpool & the Fylde Street Angels & Streetlife) for their incredible work, while pressing for stronger action to ensure every Blackpool resident has access to safe, secure and affordable housing

🍺 Spoke with the Treasury Minister about the urgent need for more support for our pubs and hospitality businesses

📺 Spoke with Granada News about the £90m Revoe development and what it means for our community

🥊 Met with Matchroom Boxing and Empire Fighting Chance to support a new study showing the positive impact of amateur boxing gyms - helping secure future funding for local clubs.

💷 Made the case for increased funding for Blackpool Council, so we can work towards easing the pressure on council tax bills

🚪I’ll be leaving Parliament shortly and then heading straight out to Grange Park for my weekly Street Surgery.

We are so happy to be the chosen charity of the Fylde Coast Property Professionals who have supported us throughout the year. This morning Marc, Scott and Chris went to Bookers on behalf of the group and brought us some much needed supplies.
