🚨IS THIS DARWENS BEST PINT OF GUINNESS🚨

This pint stepped up to the crease with serious intent 🏏

The balance of flavours was right in the middle of the bat. Roasted notes, subtle sweetness, and that classic Guinness character all worked together beautifully. No wild swings, just a classy innings from start to finish. The shtick was superb, hugging the glass like it didn’t want to leave. 🙌

Domeage? Strong performance. A well-formed head that held its shape throughout. The pour clearly had care and attention behind it too. This wasn’t a quick single nudged into the leg side; this was a carefully constructed century. The temperature was absolutely spot on too, served cool enough to refresh without muting the flavours. 🍻

If we’re nit-picking, it could have been a touch creamier. Not enough to lose its wicket, but perhaps just short of a perfect score. 🙃

Rumour has it there’s a b**r festival this weekend... sounds like the perfect excuse to pop in and put this pint through a few more overs of testing. 🍻🏏

We went to for a wholesome little brunch… and somehow ended up emotionally attached to a pint of Guinness. 🍀🍺

This place is basically Disneyland for stout lovers. Guinness merch everywhere, proper Irish pub energy, and brace yourselves… a bottomless brunch with UNLIMITED Guinness for 90 minutes. Yes, unlimited. Yes, we tested the limits. 👀

Speaking of the pint… this is not your average “yeah, that’ll do” Guinness. This is an 8.8/10 masterpiece. Silky smooth, elite domeage, the kind of pint that makes you pause mid-sip and go, “oh… they know what they’re doing here.” Some places serve Guinness. O’Malleys raises it with care like a beloved child 🙌

Food? Oh we committed to the bit. Ordered the full Irish breakfast because it felt illegal not to. Absolute unit of a plate. Also smashed the buttermilk chicken burger that had no business being that good. Crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned fries on the side, no notes, just respect.

And the damage? £35pp. For all of that. In this economy?? We’ve spent more on nights we don’t even remember!! 🕶️

If your dream brunch includes:
🍺 unlimited Guinness 
🍀 chaotic Irish pub vibes
😂 yelling “SLÁINTE” like you’re in a film
😴 an immediate post-brunch coma
Then honestly… what are you waiting for?
Just don’t make the rookie mistake of calling it “one quick brunch.” That’s how they get you. 🤝

☘️Checked out the new Irish pub in town, and the Guinness is seriously impressive 🪉

You can tell the pint was poured with care, properly settled and well presented. 🍻The flavour is very close to perfect: smooth, balanced, and not overly bitter. The domeage is spot on, holding nicely, and the bold roasted notes come through with every sip.😍

Temperature was ideal, cold, but still letting the flavour shine. 🙌The creaminess was good, though I’d say it could be just a touch silkier to really push it higher in the ranks 🫡

The atmosphere definitely adds to it. Live music, Guinness merch everywhere, and even Murphy’s on offer if you fancy a change, a real nice touch. 🍻

Overall, it’s a great spot and easily one of the better pints around. With the bank holiday weekend in full flow, this is exactly the kind of place you’d want to settle in and enjoy a properly good Guinness.👏🍻

You literally have to duck to get in, but once you’re inside The Duck Inn, you’ll want to stand up and cheer for the Guinness. 🦆🍻

With a vintage red pump promising creamy perfection, we had high hopes. But what we got exceeded every single one. This was the shtickiest pint of our lives. The domeage was out of control—spilling over the glass in the best way possible.

Flavour-wise, it was on point. A super creamy, velvety texture with that classic, slightly bitter kick. And the best part? It was under £5. In this economy, that’s what we call legendary.

If you can survive the low beams without a bump on the head, you’ll be rewarded with one of the best pints we’ve ever had. A hidden gem. Would duck again.

O’Gilíns Irish Pub out here claiming “first Irish pub in Lisbon” and honestly? We’re not here to argue. Especially when the Guinness pumps are almost the same age as the reviewers 👀 — these 30+ year-old relics still doing the Lord’s work 😇

Flavour & balance: near perfect 🤝 Creaminess & temperature could’ve gone a tad harder. 🥶
Domeage was playing it a bit safe, could had been bigger. Our second visit did produce a cracker though… we visited more than once

But overall… this might genuinely be the best overseas Guinness we’ve had 👀🍻 delivering the goods!

Came for the sunshine, stayed for the stout. Would absolutely come back. Sláinte! 🪉
