NHS Lanarkshire Volunteering group met in October last year to discuss all things Net Zero as part of the Beeline to Nature project. They took part in lively discussions around recycling, growing vegetables, composting and the importance of planting for pollinators. They also received and planted loads of spring flowering bulbs that will help the pollinating insects. ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ

The Beeline partners Langloch Farm at CCI ,Healthy and Active in East Kilbride ,Grow 73 and Larkhall Community Growers got busy yesterday to organise the next packs of pollinator-friendly bulbs to be distributed to schools and other community groups within Lanarkshire. These nectar-rich Sicilian honey garlic bulbs will produce bell shaped flowers that will be an ideal food source for our pollinators. ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ๐Ÿ›๐Ÿž๐ŸฆŸ

The Big Butterfly Count 2025 is here and butterflies need our help! ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿšจ

Butterflies are indicators of a healthy natural environment, but they are in trouble.

Last year, we declared a Butterfly Emergency after results revealed a marked and deeply concerning decline in butterfly numbers, the lowest in the Countโ€™s history.

Thatโ€™s why this year, weโ€™re not just launching a survey, weโ€™re launching a nationwide rescue mission, and we need everyone to get involved.

No lab coats. No science degrees. Just 15 minutes of your time. โฑ๏ธ
