Diolch yn Fawr Lambed // Thank you Lampeter !!

What a fabulous evening! What incredible support from the community and the local businesses. How wonderful that we got our Late Night Shopping event back and that we made it a success, even with having to make changes from what we’re all used to!

A huge shout out to Castell Howell for their donation of 250 selection boxes and for their Christmas lorry - Diolch! You make such a difference with your generosity!

Thank you to Cambrian Brass for their talented band and to Cor Cwmann for their beautiful singing. You both created a lovely atmosphere.

Diolch yn fawr to the members of the Chamber of Trade and the Town Council for the setting up, volunteering as marshals and the handing out of mulled wine!

And I guess the biggest shout out of all goes to the Big Man himself. Sion Corn. Santa. The one and only. The real deal, not some pretend Santa… we all know Lampeter bagged the real one… Thank you Santa, there’s not a child or adult who met you this evening who didn’t go home without a little bit of magic in their heart!

Late Night Shopping - Thursday 4th December 4pm-8pm

Due to the Council refusing to allow our usual road closure at both ends of the High Street (they wanted to close the main road in from the roundabout in Llanwnnen), we have had to rethink our usual plans.

The stalls will be down on Market Street and near the Town Hall alleyway. This was out of our hands, so please understand the changes were not what we’d had in mind at all.

Santa will be stopping in the Mustard Seed to see all the children (he’ll even say hello to the adults!). He’ll be setting off from Hafen Deg as usual.

The turning on of the lights will be at 5.30pm by the square.

There are still spaces for stalls, so please do get in contact if you’d like to be there on the night.
