👀 ARRAN GROUPS & ORGANISATIONS… WHERE ARE YOU ALL?

Our next Community of Arran Network (CAN) meeting is on 2nd September at 1.00pm in Ormidale Pavillion, Brodick and our RSVP list is looking a wee bit lonely… This is definitely one worth coming along to.

We have a representative from Planning Aid Scotland (PAS) joining us to talk about opportunities for island communities. Then we’ll be talking Participatory Budgeting – with the current fund closing just FOUR DAYS LATER on 6th September, this is your chance to find out more, ask questions and make sure your group doesn’t miss an opportunity. And, of course, there’s the usual cuppa, networking, catching up and finding out what everyone else on Arran is up to. CAN is about bringing Arran’s community groups and organisations together – but it only works if you’re in the room.

New funding alert!

Thanks to £15m of funding confirmed by the Scottish Government for CARES this year, we're pleased to launch a new round of the Community Energy Growth Fund.

The fund supports communities across Scotland to develop and deliver renewable energy projects.

UPDATE!

We would like to remind everyone living on, or travelling to, Arran that the Council is carrying out a programme of vital resurfacing roadworks at various locations on the island in the coming weeks.

📣 Participatory Budgeting is back! This year the funding pot is a total of £82,185 🎉

This year the funding also includes a contribution from the UK Government’s Pride in Place programme.

Applications are NOW LIVE and we welcome new organisations with bright ideas as well as groups who have benefitted from PB funding in the past!
