Administrator & Caretaker at Raasay Community Hall
Raasay Community Association (RCA) are looking to recruit a part time hall Administrator & Caretaker. This post would ideally suit someone living locally. This post is part time and permanent, subject to a satisfactory 3 month probation period.
Working alongside the RCA board, the role will suit a self-motivated and organised individual who can work independently, enjoys autonomy, takes initiative, and can manage multiple tasks without constant supervision.
Standard hours for the role will be 10 hours per week on admin and 5 hours per week on caretaking, with additional hours available in accordance with the needs of the business. Working hours can be flexible but will need to be worked around hall bookings and to ensure that there is a regular presence in the hall.
Hourly rate of pay is Β£15 per hour and the start date is as close to 1st October as possible.
CONTEXT OF ROLE:
Raasay Community Hall is owned and managed by RCA on behalf of the community.
The hall is a multi-functional building available for hire by individuals, associations, groups and businesses as well as being used for community events run by RCA.
Whilst hall users are responsible for leaving the hall clean and tidy after their use, there is a requirement for a part time caretaker to monitor and maintain the general cleanliness of the building and equipment, carry out minor repairs and regular safety checks.
In addition to a caretaker, RCA requires administrative support to enable the smooth running of the hall and the association. This involves handling hall bookings, payments, interactions with users, keeping financial records, applying for and ensuring compliance with licenses, insurance and other admin duties.
