A good nights training. Lewis delivered a refresher on radio use and radio functions. Colin advised demonstrated good practice in lowering and hauling the stretcher over steep ground. Thanks go to the team member who turned out and to Martin for organising the night. The team members make themselves available 24 hours a day 365 days of the year. We rely on public donations to fund the work we do, and your continued support of our team is very much needed and appreciated.

Despite the miserable weather the Glenelg MRT and Kintail MRT guests welcomed Stornoway Coastguard R948 to Glenelg. The reason for the visit was to put new Glenelg and Kintail MRT recruits through the basics of working with a coastguard helicopter and mastering the lowering from the aircraft and being lifted into the aircraft.. The training event went well, despite the weather. This is one of the core skills of MRT personnel and we welcome the opportunity to train with the helicopter and it's crews. Thanks go to Martin Robertson for arranging the training, the crew of R948 for their time and instruction and the team members, Glenelg and Kintail, who turned out for the training. The team members make themselves available 24 hours a day 365 days of the year. We rely on public donations to fund the work we do, and your continued support of our team is very much needed and appreciated.

Casualty care, stretcher carry, steep ground kit, search management, Sarcall, MR mapping and communications.
