We’ve got some summery stock out, alongside some cosier bits just in case the weather changes....

Lots of kitchen items, frames, CDs, books, games, toys, teddies and crafty kits in just now.

📖 Kids’ books: 50p
💿 CDs & DVDs: 25p

🍓 Food drop off in the Hub in Kyle today!
(Wed 15th April)

We’ve just had lots of strawberries and raspberries donated from the Kyle Co-op, plus we have ready meals, sausages and other goodies in the freezer!

Pop in and take what you can use - all free to stop it going to waste ♻️

♻️ 2025 Preloved Stats!

We’ve gathered our shop stats for last year - in 2025 over 22,230 pre-loved items were saved from landfill in our tiny wee Lochalsh Reuse & Recycle Hub in Kyle 🙌

Thanks to everyone who’s popped in for a browse, donated, or bought something they maybe didn’t even know they needed until they saw it 👀

A huge thank you as well to our amazing volunteers, who sort, check, research and price everything that comes through the doors, we just could not operate without the hours they give 🤍

We receive a lot of donations every day, and with our small space it can sometimes be a bit tricky to manage. Donating one or two small bags at a time really helps us stay on top of everything 😊

All sales help keep this charity-run project going - keeping the Hub open and the Community Fridge running!

Every item rehomed makes a difference, and it all adds up so thank you all for the support 🤗

🏅 METAL MEDALS – JUST 10p EACH🏅

We have had a massive donation of metal running medals in the hope people can find a way to reuse them!

We have lots (and we mean LOTS) available in the Lochalsh Reuse & Recycle Hub in Kyle.

One side has a an old race design, but the other side is blank, perfect for making them your own 🤗

Cover up the old race side with paint, stickers, or fabric, and the blank side could be used to:

✏️ Engrave, stamp, or personalise
🏆 Create your own awards (schools, clubs, parties, work prizes)
🧲 Turn into magnets or decorations
🎭 Use for costumes, props, or craft projects
🎄 Make Christmas tree decorations
🪴 Create garden markers
🎁 Make personalised gifts

Perfect for crafters, teachers, youth groups, or anyone who loves a bit of upcycling!

Give them a new life instead of them going to waste ♻️

Wee extra food donation into the Community Fridge in Kyle in the Lochalsh Reuse & Recycle Hub!
(Sat 14th March)

Lots of bagged salad, tomatoes, pears, spinach, kale - most is Use By so needs to be taken today! Also some loaves and rolls in 🍅🍞🥗🫜🥗🍞🍅

All food is free to save it from being binned ♻️

We have been putting out lots of fresh bits around the shop, including some nice things that could make a wee Mother’s Day gift if you’re still looking for tomorrow!

There’s also more cosy clothing out on the rails and some shoes 👟 🧥

💌 Old Greeting Cards? There is a collection point inside the pharmacy in Kyle!

If you have used greeting cards at home, don’t throw them away - you can pop them into the collection basket inside Pharmacy in Kyle of Lochalsh (They are just a few doors down from us)

The cards are collected by Sadie, who reuses them to create new handmade greeting cards. The cards she makes are then sold, with all profits helping cover the cost of travelling to entertain elderly residents in Highland care homes 🤍

A lovely way to reuse something that might otherwise go in the bin and support a good cause at the same time! ♻️🤗♻️

🍓 Big food donation to the hub in Kyle today! 🍞
(Tue 10th March)

We had a big food donation so there’s lots available in the Community Fridge inside in Lochalsh Reuse & Recycle Hub today.

All food is free to take just use the scales at the door and note the weight on the form, the purpose of this project is to save perfectly good food from being binned unnecessarily! ♻️

In today:
🍓 Raspberries
🫐 Blueberries
🍊 Tangerine's
🍓 Strawberries
🥕 Carrots
🍐 Pears
🍇 Grapes
🍅 Tomatoes (wee ones and big ones!)
🍞 Bread, Rolls + Crumpets
🥛 Oat milk & chocolate drinks
🍰 A few sweet treats
🥬 Bagged spinach (this can be frozen and used from frozen in soups/smoothies/cooking)
🥗 Bagged salad (on a use-by date and can’t be frozen - so please take this today if you can use it or it will be wasted!)

We also have lots of of preloved jackets, jumpers, rain jackets and cosy items out for sale in the hub just now plus lots of bits and pieces of household items!

Pop in and have a wee rummage 🤗
