After a delay due to the planned day of planting being so wet, earlier this week we planted the bulbs kindly supplied by Knutsford Town Council. We look forward to seeing them grow in the spring.

If this isn't BBQ weather then we don't know what is.

This Saturday it's our annual community BBQ. Burgers and sausages on the grill (vegetarian option available), cider and Pimms to keep cool. Join us from 1pm.

The event is free, but donations are welcomed.

Brilliant, gotta love a good interpretation board.

We're excited to share that a brand new information sign has been installed today at the Boothfields entrance to St. John’s Wood!

Installed by Bob and Alfie, our Knutsford Town Rangers, the sign includes a map of the woodland paths and highlights some of the trees, plants, and wildlife you might spot as you explore the woods.

This lovely addition was made possible through fundraising at local events and generous grants from Manchester Airport Community Trust Fund and Knutsford Town Council. The beautiful map was created by talented Knutsford resident Leann Stainton - a huge thank you to her and everyone who helped bring this project to life!

A great hour spent in the wood yesterday evening. The team (yes 5 in all) tackled the issue of "keeping the paths open" with great gusto. Lots of clipping and shovelling and the bottom path is 1/2 completed. By carving a meter wide slice along the route we make the routine clipping so much easier and quicker. A bit of pain - lots of gain. Another tree has lost it's ivy (thanks to new member Irene) . The remainder of the this path is on the cards for next Wednesday.
Join us next and every Wednesday evening through the summer, between 7pm and 8pm.
Bring any gardening tools you may have for cutting ivy, and trimming low growth. All support welcome.
