⭐️ PERSONAL THANK YOU ⭐️

Wow! Where do I begin?! 🥺

After a fantastic 9 years at Osgoldcross Forum; I can’t believe our beloved ‘Youth on the Move’ project has come to an end and will be no more 😢 this will be my final ever post!

I want to start by thanking John Vause (no longer with us), the staff (past and present) and trustees at Osgoldcross Forum for giving me the opportunity of being a Youth Worker.

When I started at Osgoldcross Forum a little over 9 years ago, I never believed it was a job I could do! Even though my background had always been young people, from birth to 18 years originally. This was a completely different role I was taking on, somewhat out of my comfort zone! But I can say it has been THE BEST, most rewarding role I have ever taken on! The young people (and their parents/carers!) I have had the honour of working with over my 9 years have given me the easiest job in the world! For that I thank each and every one of you from the very bottom of my heart ❤️

I’ve watched so many of you grow and flourish into young adults now taking on the world. So many grow from small, shy 5 year olds; to confident pre-teens and teens!
I’ve laughed with (and cried with; mostly happy tears!) so many of you! And I guess with some of you finding yourselves, I found a little bit of myself in this role too!

The project and you guys (past and present) have been an absolute pleasure!! An opportunity I will forever be grateful for.

This is goodbye 😢 but with that I take away some amazing memories of my time and memories that I’ll cherish forever. I will miss you all dearly but I wish you all; young people, parents/carers good luck for your futures!

I do hope that you will all always remember ‘Youth on the Move’, myself and the staff we have had over the last 15 years!

Good morning everyone! Welcome to the final ever week of ‘Youth on the Move’ 🙁 this week is going to be a very emotional one 😢 if you don’t manage to get booked on this week, please feel free to come and say goodbye to staff! We will welcome it!

⚠️⚠️ Please note all young people now moved into Year 7 must join the 11-19 years sessions. And can we also please remind you that, if your child/children has recently or is due to turn 11, they must also still attend the 5-11 years session until they start in Year 7⚠️⚠️

**BOOKING INFORMATION** (where stated **booking required**)

To book; click the 'Contact Us' tab and choose your session.

Please add the name/s of the attendees in the ‘notes’ section so we are aware of the names of all children attending, prior to the session in order to create our register. Please await confirmation of your booking.

Can we please also stress that you MUST NOT just turn up if you haven't booked a place AND had confirmation of the booking as you may be turned away. We have a maximum capacity in place for the safety of young people, staff and volunteers.

Bookings will close at 2pm on the day of the session or earlier if all places are allocated.

Good afternoon

Our current project - Youth On The Move is due to finish on 30th September.

As it stands we do not have funding in place to continue this project.

Due to the nature and sustainability of our work, our charity relies on funding from outside sources to be able to run and we currently havent secured this. We have exhausted other avenues of funding to no avail.

On Monday a decision was made by the trustees to close the organisation/charity once the current project has finished, sadly this will mean closure of our youth clubs.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support of our work over the last 15 years, this support is very much appreciated and has not gone unnoticed.

We appreciate that this is very disappointing news however we are happy and proud of what we have achieved during our time working with all the young people that our project has served over the years.

Once again we would like to thank you for your support for our work and would like to wish you all the best for the future.
