🎉 Try something new this May – with Girlguiding Knighton! 🎉

Looking for a fun and confidence-building experience for your daughter?

We’re offering FREE taster sessions until May Half-Term for girls aged 4–18 – and we’d love to welcome you!

At Girlguiding, girls explore a world of possibilities – one where they can laugh, learn, and lead in their own way.

Here’s a little look at what to expect during our free sessions:

🌈 Session 1 - Wed 30th April – Games & getting to know each other
📚 Session 2 - Wed 7th May – Discover Girlguiding: badges, books, and creative challenges
🔥 Session 3 - Wed 21st May – Campfire songs, celebration & badge moments!

In Girlguiding, every girl is supported to be herself – whether she’s bold and adventurous, quietly creative, or somewhere in between.
It’s a place to grow confidence, make friends, and try something completely new.

🕒 When: 4:45-6pm (Rainbows) | 6-7:30pm (Brownies, Guides and Rangers)
📍 Where: Knighton Baptist Church
🎁 Cost: Free until May Half-Term

📣 Try Girlguiding for FREE until May Half-Term in Knighton 📣

Girlguiding opens up a world of possibilities to girls from 4 to 18 – one where they can do anything.

🛡️ Our Rainbow (4–7), Brownie (7–10), and Guide (10–14) and Ranger (14-18) units are welcoming new members this term.
📍 Where: Knighton Baptist Church
📅 When: Wed 30th April, Wed 7th May and Wed 21st May
(No meeting Wed 14th May due to May Fair)

This term we've been…
🔥 Roasting marshmallows around the campfire
🎨 Creating (and getting messy!) with slime
🍕 Sharing pizza and friendship outdoors
⛑️ Learning new skills like first aid

🎁 Every girl who attends a taster session will receive a special thank-you gift!

✨ Whether she's looking to make new friends, try new challenges, or just have fun – Girlguiding is ready to welcome her.

🌸 New Eco Award Badges🌸

We are super excited to see this announcement from Girlguiding - Our young members are going to be keen to get started on this badge ASAP.

🌈 Knighton Rainbows might give 'Growing Cups of Kindness' a go, work towards their 'Nature' or 'Helper' interest badge and we may even try building a bug hotel!

🔎 Knighton Brownies might attempt their 'Zero Waste' or 'Grow Your Own' Interest Badge, work on activities from Stage 2 'Make Change' Skill Builder and may even try building a hedgehog house!

What an incredible year it’s been for our Knighton units! From unleashing our creativity in crafts and gardening to building community spirit through litter-picking and teamwork, our Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides have truly embraced the Girlguiding spirit.

We kicked off the year with imaginative crafts like dragon designs and marshmallow sculptures. Rainbows and Brownies wowed us with their dream gardens, while Guides took adventure to new heights with a teddy bear zipline.

Our units worked together on community projects, from litter-picking to mentoring across sections, showing how teamwork brings us closer. Fun-filled evenings like Pizza Night brought families together, while sweet treats like chocolate-making and exciting challenges like paper airplanes and plait-a-mats helped us learn new skills.

Here’s to celebrating every memory from 2024 and looking forward to even more adventures in 2025. Thank you to all the girls, leaders, and supporters who make Girlguiding Knighton so special!
