OBJECTIVES
Business Ladies of Knaresborough aim to achieve the following objectives:-
• Working together to share skills and business strategies
• Promoting and sharing good practice via monthly workshops and website articles
• Providing mutual support amongst members
• Engage with local businesses through networking and use of different venues around Knaresborough for workshop and social eve
nts
• Organising meetings, training courses and events for the benefit of local businesses
• Working and linking with specialists in various business fields to promote and benefit local businesses
• Supporting local community groups and events
• Identifying areas of need or development within Knaresborough for the benefit of local businesses
• Working alongside local groups such as Knaresborough Chamber of Trade, Knaresborough Lions, Knaresborough Rotary, Renaissance Knaresborough, Visit Castlegate and Friends of Knaresborough to promote local businesses and events in a positive light.
• Encouraging cooperation between local businesses to improve Knaresborough business opportunities as a whole
• Encouraging links with other networking groups in Harrogate, Wetherby, Boroughbridge, Ripon and surrounding areas in order to boost Knaresborough’s business profile. MEMBERSHIP
Membership of BLOK shall be open to any local business ladies who are interested in helping the group to achieve its aims and are willing to abide by the rules of the group. Applicants should live and/or work in the Knaresborough area, whether it be as a business owner, employee or active volunteer within the community. This may be reviewed at the Annual General meeting by the BLOK management committee. All subscriptions are due on the first day of membership and the first day of each subsequent year’s membership.
