On behalf of the Christmas Day Dinner committee a HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers today - we are always overwhelmed by the generosity of spirit and the gift that you subsequently help us give to the community is absolutely priceless. We’ll have more photos to follow thanks to one of our lovely volunteers and I’m sure Sir Bruce will have his own personal thank you message once he takes off his apron….but for now….to our takeaway support staff….our delivery drivers….our taxi drivers…..our greeters and waiters/waitresses and ALL the dual kitchen chefs and supporting staff….. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! 💝🎄🎅🏻

Just one more full day until our annual Christmas dinner, we currently have 122 meals to cook, split between two venues. The Two Brothers take away on Chain lane are sorting the delivery side of the meals out, and Im heading up the dine in meals at St Johns Hub, opposite St Johns Church. We still have capacity to cater for a few more if anyone knows of anyone that may benefit from a free Christmas dinner then please get in touch. Also if there are any budding camera enthusiasts who would be able and willing to capture this amazing community spirited event over the two venues, perhaps an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon, we would be extremely grateful, again just get in touch with me on 07958 653084.

Thank you all who contributed to this event already. Its going to be an amazing day made even better by the appearance of Liam Gray singing for us at the Hub.

Some exciting news for our free Christmas day dinner. For those of you that are eating in with us at St Johns Hub, we are going to be joined by the fabulous Liam Gray, who will be singing a few songs for us in the afternoon. There are still a few places for those wishing to eat in with us on Christmas day, let us spoil you with a fully served traditional Christmas dinner by one of our many volunteers, if you are going to be alone, if you are a family that is struggling financially, if you look after someone and you are a carer, whatever your circumstances you are welcome to join us at the Hub, Vicarage Lane, Knaresborough HG5 9AE by contacting me on 07958 653084 or emailing the this page. Or if you would rather have a meal delivered to your door then please get in touch using the above details. We have over 100 meals ordered already for both options but there is still room for a few more. Bruce.
