We were delighted to welcome Jake Richards MP, our local MP for Rother Valley, to Kiveton Park earlier this week. 🙌

Ashley and Nigel talked Jake through how we help young people take their first steps into employment: building their skills and confidence, and giving them a hand with CVs, job applications and interview practice.

We also shared how we're working with local councils and employers to help people into work and support them on their journey once they're there. And we talked about how we can do even more across the community to get young people into training and jobs.

Thank you, Jake, for visiting and for the kind words.

🔴 WEAR RED. GET INTO TRAINING & WORK.

We’re opening the doors at Marvel Projects UK CIC for our Red Open Day — and everyone is welcome.

📅 Friday 18 September
⏰ 10am–2pm
📍 60a Station Road, Kiveton Park, S26 6QQ

No appointment. No referral. No charge. Just drop in.

Rotherham Day is about celebrating our town and, most importantly, the people who live here. Whether you're looking for work, want to get into training, thinking about a career change or simply want to know what opportunities are out there — come and have a chat.

Since February 2026, we’ve already helped 15 local people into real jobs — and we want to help more. 💪

On the day, you can find out about:

🎓 Training opportunities
💼 Jobs and employment support
🤝 Volunteering opportunities
📄 CV and interview support
🚀 Routes into work

If you're in Kiveton, Wales, Dinnington or the surrounding areas, come along.

Young, not-so-young — there’s no wrong door.
