Holm Community Heritage at St Nicholas Kirk The Holm Community Heritage are dedicated to keeping the ownership of the kirk within the Holm Community, preserving the building and its character.

The building has been made accessible to the public, with an archive created for visitors to the kirkyard. If you would like to be on the mailing list of the Holm Community Heritage at St Nicholas Kirk's, please let us know. Charity number SCO 44541

The opening hours are 1 May - 30 September 10 am - 6 pm.

Grant Applications Successful!!

We're delighted to confirm that we have received funding of £50,000 each from the Crown Estate's Community-led Local Development Fund, OIC's Community Development Fund and The Orkney Trust, as stated in the really positive article in this week's The Orcadian (Thursday, June 4, 2026 edition).

We’re pleased to share an update on the café at Scapa Flow Museum as we head into the summer season.

The Museum is open daily from 9:30am to 4:15pm, and we’re delighted to welcome visitors to the café Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 3:45pm.

Visitors can enjoy a selection of hot drinks and fantastic cakes, with plans to expand the menu over the summer.

We’re continuing to develop the café service and look forward to growing the offer over time.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming you to Scapa Flow Museum!
