Today we unveiled this beautiful tribute in memory of Adam Tait, a much-loved long-term village resident.

This special bicycle memorial, generously donated by Adam’s family, has been brought to life thanks to the kindness, time and hard work of so many wonderful people in our community.

A heartfelt thank you to:
🚲 Neil Tait for donating his dad’s bike.
πŸ“ Geoff Crowe for checking the ground for underground utilities.
πŸ”§ Drummond Black for the engineering work.
πŸ•³οΈ Mark Richardson for digging the hole.
🌸 Helen McPhee, Valerie Edwards and Jane Richardson for planning and planting the beautiful display.
🎨 Bryce Paterson for spray painting the bike.

This memorial is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when a community comes together. We hope it serves as a lasting reminder of Adam and the place he held in the hearts of so many.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this tribute possible. πŸ’š

Thanks to all who pitched up to the Litterpick this morning.
12 bags of litter lifted from Lochend Rd, Path Brae, Gateside, Newliston Road to Milrig cottages and some of Main Street. + Some fly tipping reported on the Lochend road.

To the runner who 'bumped into' one of our volunteers on the Newliston Road, your actions are not appreciated. We wear a Hi- Viz vest to be visible!

We value our volunteers who regularly do their bit to keep Kirkliston and the surrounding areas tidy.

That's us for now, the next Litterpick is at the end of September and will be based at the Leisure centre.

Have a lovely summer everyone 🌞😎

It was wonderful to see so many fantastic gardens, and judging was no easy task!

Congratulations to all our winners, and thank you again to everyone who participated and helped make the competition such a success. 🌿🏑🌸

Well done, everyone! πŸ‘
