Today marked the start of our drop in brunch sessions but also our commitment to challenge poverty week!

We are back at hillhead community centre on Thursday for challenge poverty week for a drop in and chat along side representatives from CAB, Childsmile team the council housing services and the supporting families team.

With free pre loved childrens winter jackets for anyone in need

Today our Challenge Poverty Week events are focused on ‘fuel’ and aimed at 16–24-year-olds who are homeless or East Dunbartonshire Council Tenants.

10 am - 1130am – Breakfast drop-in at Hillhead Community Centre where 16–24-year-olds who are homeless or East Dunbartonshire Council tenants, can pop in for a free breakfast and get energy advice.
1pm - 230pm – Cooking session at Hillhead Community Centre where 16–24-year-olds who are homeless or East Dunbartonshire Council tenants, can come along to cook and enjoy a nutritious meal and find out about energy tariffs and suppliers.

Please take note of our post during the heat, and remember, only walk your dogs in the morning and evening to avoid burning their paws, and ensure you have shade and fresh water for your animals too ! 👍
