Our 2026 Principals were delighted to take part in the Kirkcudbright Grand Parade today. A huge well done to Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities for organising such a fantastic parade! 🎉👏

🎉 GRAND PARADE DAY IS ALMOST HERE 🎉

Saturday, 22nd August is going to be one of the biggest days of Kirkcudbright Summer! It all kicks off from midday with the Rotary Fun Day, running throughout the day, with entertainment and music continuing into the evening.

🚩 The Grand Parade starts at 2:15pm from Millflats, winding its way through the town before arriving at Harbour Square.

Grab your spot along the route, bring your energy!

🗓️ Saturday, 22nd August ⏰ From midday 📍 Mill Flats → through town → Harbour Square

🌙 THE PARTY DOESN'T STOP WHEN THE PARADE ENDS 🌙

Once the Grand Parade arrives into Harbour Square, the celebrations keep going, with live entertainment and music taking over the evening for the After Party.

A huge thank you from Kirkcudbright Cornets Club to our wonderful 2026 Wreath Bearer, Emma Watson, a pupil at Kirkcudbright Academy.

Emma did a splendid job, patiently watching the Rideout pass before making her way to the War Memorial to meet our Piper, Ian Wemyss. Our sincere thanks also go to Ian for helping make the occasion so special.

Our Cornet, Thomas, and Lass, Abby, enjoyed a lovely brief chat with Emma before they laid the beautiful wreath kindly provided by Willow Kirkcudbright

What a fantastic week for members of Kirkcudbright Cornets Club, joining in with Sanquhar Riding of the Marches 🐎

We’ve had an amazing time enjoying Sanquhar’s brilliant hospitality, making memories and celebrating this wonderful tradition.

A huge thank you to everyone at Sanquhar Royal Burgh Troopers Club for making the week so much fun, whether on horseback or on foot. The kindness of your ex Principals doesn't go un-noticed and a special thanks to the Ex Principals for taking the time to guide our on foot members to ensure they got the best view of the day.

Congratulations and well done to your 2026 Principals — we wish you all a fantastic year in office! 👏

Yesterday our 2025 Pursuivant Susan English and 2008 Cornet's Lass Samantha Wilson and her son Angus on leadrein were at Dalbeattie Riding Of The Marches

Susan, Samantha and Angus were joined by several on foot club members.

A lovely day was had and a well organised event.

Thank you to all the organisers for a great Sunday and congratulations on your first Riding Of The Marches.
