We are thrilled to announce that the full programme and ticket sales for the 2026 Kirkcudbright Fringe Festival are now live on our website!
Returning from 3rd–6th September, this will be our fourth Fringe Festival and promises to be our biggest and most exciting yet. Audiences can look forward to an eclectic mix of outstanding live music, comedy, theatre, talks, family entertainment and unique experiences, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Kirkcudbright.
With an incredible line-up of acts, performers and events already generating plenty of excitement, we expect many shows to sell out quickly. Not long until we launch the new-look Kirkcudbright Fringe website and the exciting 2026 programme!

If you think you might have some spare time over the Fringe weekend (3rd to 6th September) and would like to help make everything happen by doing things like stewarding at venues or selling tickets or driving performers and artists to and from Dumfries, please message us.

We are a really friendly bunch and you even get a free Fringe tee-shirt!

The Town of Culture Working Group which is finalising the bid contains Kirkcudbright Fringe, Summer Festivities, Kirkcudbright Development Trust as well as other groups. It has been undertaking consultations on what people would like from such a bid and the cultural offer and future of our town. Kirkcudbright Book Festival concluded last weekend and its many successes are celebrated in a one page feature in this week's Galloway News out today. Lots of buzzing and brilliant events, authors and discussions with engaged audience members. Overall the number of folk attending was up 23% per event compared to last year's Book Week. Great to see such success and interest - and here's to future years!
