🎨 Funding opportunity for youth arts projects!

Applications are now open for the Youth Arts Open Fund, supporting freelancers and organisations to create inspiring arts opportunities for children and young people—especially those who face barriers to accessing the arts.

💡 Available funding:
🙋 Freelancers – up to £10,000
🏢 Organisations – up to £20,000
📅 Deadline: 21 July 2026

Delivered by Creative Scotland as part of its commitment to supporting young people, with funding from the Scottish Government.

We are delighted to announce that the Youth Arts Open Fund is open for applications. This fund aims to support freelance artists or organisations seeking small amounts of funding so that they can deliver arts activity for children and young people. The deadline for applications is 5pm on 21st July.

We cannot do our work at Youth 1st without the support and guidance from an amazing Board of Trustees. This is what Rachel, one of our Trustees, has to say about her involvement with Youth 1st.
