Don't worry if you didn't make it along - there will be other chances to give us your views.

Would you like to play a key role in shaping an innovative new reuse project in Kirkcaldy?

Reuse Kirkcaldy is looking for enthusiastic people to join its committee. This is a brilliant chance to help shape the project and the organisation right from the start!

We are a brand new group, working to set up a project that provides people with affordable access to good quality items, without needing to buy them new.

We will be talking to local residents before deciding on the exact details of the project โ€“ it could be a library of things, selling good quality second hand or surplus items (e.g. carpets, or paint), or selling reusable items (e.g. nappies).

We are not looking for people with specific skills or experience โ€“ all you need is enthusiasm for the project idea and the willingness to make decisions about how the organisation and its projects are set up. Committee meetings are held once a month (currently held on weeknights).

Please get in touch if youโ€™re interested.

We will be in Every One Every Day at the Mercat this Saturday, from 1-3pm. If you would like to have your say in what kind of reuse project we set up, please come along and talk to us!

This is a great opportunity to help shape the project from the very start. We could set up a library of things, or sell good quality second hand items not currently available in Kirkcaldy, or we could sell reusable items. Or there may be ideas we haven't thought of!

This is a drop-in event, so you can turn up any time.

The last few days of our Spring Programme are filled with wonderful FREE activities for you to try! In addition, the last Saturday of the month means it is a Makerspace Saturday, so our is open 10am - 3pm.

Here is what is on this Friday 24th - Sunday 26th April. All activities are led by local residents and supported by us!

It's less than a week to go until our event. Come along to St Brycedale Church at 7pm next Wednesday 25th February to learn about reuse projects going on elsewhere, and discuss setting something up in Kirkcaldy.

Alix DeMitchell will be coming along to tell us about the Edinburgh Library of Things.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who would like to help to reduce waste, whilst providing affordable access to goods when people need them.

If you'd like to be involved but can't make this meeting, please get in touch.

Thank you to K107 FM for having me on their Fife Focus show on Friday. It was good to chat about the upcoming meeting on Wednesday 25th February, and talk about potential ideas for projects.

I'm excited to confirm our first speaker for our Kirkcaldy Reuse Project - conversation. Alix form the Edinburgh Library of Things will be telling us about their project, where people can borrow a range of items, from ice cream makers and tents through to gazebos and jigsaws.

It sounds like an amazing project - come along to our event to learn more, and be inspired about what we could do in Kirkcaldy!

We are looking at setting up a reuse project in Kirkcaldy, to help to reduce waste whilst providing affordable access to goods when people need them.

This could take a range of forms - a library of things (tools, toys, etc.), or a project that sells second hand items that you can't currently get locally (e.g. paint, carpets).

If you would like to help to set up a wate reuse project, or would like to find out more, then come along to our meeting at 7pm on Wednesday 25th February at St Brycedale Church.
