📆 The Knowsley Family and Community Education (FACE) officially opens in Kirkby town centre on Wednesday 26 August 2026.
📍 Based on St Chad’s Parade, it helps local residents to access learning and training opportunities, improve their skills and gain qualifications.
🕐 From 9.30am on 26 August, residents and visitors to the town can call in to find out more about the courses on offer as well as registering on the day to try something new and learn new skills.
✅ Courses on offer from September include Reiki, Counselling Skills, Food Safety, Understanding Autism, Mental Health Awareness, Feel good with flowers, Food and mood, Functional English skills, Teaching Assistant Course, Diet and nutrition, Yoga for beginners, Workplace wellbeing yoga, Art and wellbeing, Youth Works, Find your family tree, The history of Kirkby and Mixed holistic therapies.
🗨️ Cllr Sean Donnelly, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said “As well as learning new skills or gaining a qualification in a hobby or interest, FACE can help you to build your confidence and self-esteem, supporting you on your career journey. Being based in Kirkby town centre makes learning and training opportunities even more accessible.”
