Update on our new Community Public Access Defibrillators: We have begun replacing the obsolete G3 units with the new Mindray defibrillators you helped raise the funds to purchase. Dave Prince - our retired Secretary, was given the honour of installing the first one in Ravenstondedale. We are slowly replacing all 14 in the community as each ones' battery and pads near their expiry dates. Some may have a year or so left on their expiry dates - so those with the longest expiry dates will be the last to be replaced.

The new defibrillators have arrived! We will be testing them first, before we begin installing them from the end of the month.
Once again, and on behalf of the team, can we give a big thank-you to everyone who supported our fundraising campaign to ensure we could replace all the old defibrillators we have out there.
If your community would like a refresher or familiarisation session once the new defibrillator is installed in your area, how you recognise when they are required, how to operate them, and how to carry out CPR - please message us. There is no charge for this service, but a donation to support our ongoing costs is always appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who has helped with donations to our appeal. We have now reached our goal to fund the 14 defibs. and have turned 'off' the donations on the gofundme page. Once again, we are so grateful for your support, it really means a lot to me, the team, and of course - the community.

A big thank you to our friends at Green Tree Pharmacy for their donation of £1000 towards our defibrillator appeal. This now means we have reached our target of just under £9000 to buy 14 new defibrillators.
WOW, you're all such wonderful people, it is so good to live and work in a real community.
We will leave the gofundme page open for a few more days, any additional donations that do happen to come in we will put towards ongoing equipment and consumables our team of 9 First Responders need.
Once again, thank you all for each and every penny you donated. It means a great deal to us.

We are extremely grateful for everyone’s generosity. Thanks to donations from individuals, local groups, and our GoFundMe supporters, we are so close to achieving our funding goal to replace all 14 community defibrillators.

We now only require around £1,000 to do this (the last 1.5 defibs!) , and ask if you can help us to reach the final target. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to keeping our community defibrillators - that can make a real difference in life-critical emergencies, operational.

🙏 Donations can be made via our GoFundMe – link in the comments.

Your support, sharing, and messages help ensure that these defibrillators remain available where they are most needed. Thank you for helping us make our community safer.

Hello there, we desperately need to raise funds to replace 14 defibrillators we have installed in outdoor cabinets in the Upper Eden area as they have sadly now become obsolete. This is a massive project for a voluntary organisation such as ours, and any help you can give would be greatly appreciated to help us keep this life-saving equipment operating in our community. Please can we ask if you would like this post and share with any contacts you have, as this helps get the message out to more people. Thank you.
