Sue came and gave a demonstration of encaustic art. It was so clever how the wax could be crafted into scenes, flowers etc. One resident enjoyed having a go herself. There was a chance to buy the beautiful cards that Sue makes.

Seven members of Kirkby Lonsdale Brass Band, conducted by Allan and wearing their Christmas jumpers, entertained residents at Travers and then at The Gables. All the requested carols, Frère Jacques and the Calypso were greatly appreciated. A lovely festive afternoon was had by all!

STRAWBERRY TEA AT THE FAIRBANK SOCIETY – Fairbank, Kirkby Lonsdale this Saturday, June 28th

We would like to invite you once again to our annual Strawberry Tea. As in previous years, we will open our lovely gardens to anyone who would like to visit. You will be able to find out more about The Fairbank Society, meet some of our residents, staff and trustees and enjoy free refreshments. There will, also, be a cake stall. We will be happy to show you around the Houses (The Gables and Travers House) and answer any queries you may have without obligation. It will be an opportunity to meet our manager so please come along between 2.00pm and 4.00pm on Saturday June 28th. Entrance is free but there is no parking available.
