Swift volunteers needed!

🪶 Do you love swifts?
🚶‍♂️ Do you like walking?
🌆 Is dusk your time of day?
🌅 Or is dawn when you shine?
🔭 Are you good at spotting things?
⏰️ Can you spare an hour once or twice per month over summer?
💪 We are looking for volunteers to survey streets local to them for swift nests and low flying groups. No experience necessary. Guidance will be given.

Give a swift a home!
It won’t be long until the Swifts arrive back for the summer. After travelling thousands of miles from Africa too many of these birds will find nowhere to nest. Installing a nest box is a simple and effective way to protect these wonderful birds and to allow the population to grow and thrive. Free nest box and installation for selected households!

Calling all hoarders! Do you have an old bike stand gathering dust? We’re looking for donations of bike stands to support our work teaching bike maintenance Kingussie High School pupils. Tools and equipment aren’t cheap, so if you think you can help we would be very grateful 🙏.
Donations can be made to the Spin shop on Kingussie High Street on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday.

Today we launch Badenoch Swifts, a new initiative to help safeguard and build nesting sites for our returning swift birds.
