A cable wheel as an affordance, some girls were using a little tykes car to stand on to get hight to jump off swing so I put a cable wheel there

I feel it’s important to have natural loose parts in your playground things children can find just “hanging around the environment “ these can be discarded mattresses and an old sofa and of course a shopping trolley, loose parts are limitless!

Football kid

There is a lad who really loves football
He sometimes just dribbles the ball around and that’s normaly his play cue
He says want to be meged??
(That’s when someone kicks the ball between your legs when they are open!)
And I often play football with him trying to get the ball of him which is difficult when he’s like 12 and I’m 40 something!
We often have a little banter where he calls me boldly and I call him mop head as his hair goes a bit long but I still call him this after a hair cut!
Today he was playing with the ball and when my back was turned I saw the ball go a head of me

Well I guess you will know what happened next…😉
