It’s Bike Week!
Giroscope Bike Workshop is delighted to be part of Cycling UK’s Big Bike Revival, helping families get their bikes ready for the summer holidays.
We’ll be offering free family bike safety checks and minor repairs, so more people can ride safely, confidently and affordably.
Dates to be announced soon - keep an eye out!
From our base at Selby Street Yard, we’re all about repair, re-use and recycling: bringing unwanted bikes back into use, supporting volunteers to build repair skills, and making cycling more accessible for our community.
To donate a bike, buy a refurbished bike or arrange a repair, get in touch with Giroscope Bike Workshop. Cycling UK

How can modern methods of construction help communities play a more active role in shaping the places where they live?
Join us this Friday for the next Giroscope40 Lunch Plus talk, High-Tech Innovation for Community Value, with Jonathan Green, Director of BlokBuild.
BlokBuild is a pioneering collective with a mission to make our built environment more innovative and sustainable through digital manufacturing technologies. Through the delivery of cutting-edge off-site construction projects, they have developed processes and technologies that make it possible for communities to participate more directly in the design and construction of buildings and spaces.
Taking place during Humber Business Week, this conversation will explore how advances in off-site construction can create community value, open up new opportunities for local involvement, and help people build in new ways.
