Anlaby Communities Trust

Anlaby Communities Trust We’re pleased to have served local people through the community garden. For simplicity the garden is now run by St Mark’s Church and ACT is closing.

The garden continues as normal for you to enjoy! We’ll keep sharing updates here for now. We are a charity set up by the Anlaby churches of St Peter's Anlaby and St Mark's Anlaby Common. ACT aims to serve the 14,500 people living in our parish communities - Anlaby Park, Anlaby Common, Anlaby Village and Rokeby Park - through education, youth work and relief of need. Our most established project is

the community garden in the grounds of St Mark's. We grow plants, fruit and vegetables. The garden is a resource for the community - a place that local people can visit and enjoy, or get involved in as part of the volunteer group. Contact us to learn more!

Earlier this year we mentioned that we’d be sharing an update about how the community garden is being run. 🌿

As many of you know, the garden has been ACT’s main activity for some time. Now that it’s well established, it can be run more simply and efficiently under St Mark's Church, without needing a separate charity.

The garden is now under St Mark’s care, and ACT is in the process of closing. Volunteers, tools and equipment have transferred smoothly, activities continue as normal, and everyone is still warmly welcome to enjoy the garden just as before😊

We’re grateful for all the support the garden has received 💚, and we’re delighted it remains open, welcoming, and very much part of our community.

And something to look forward to… our annual plant sale is coming up on 6th June! 🪴 We’ll keep posting updates here for now.

Wishing our friends and followers a very Happy Easter
