VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO PARTICIPATE IN A STUDY OF ACADEMIC READING SKILLS

Are you a British or Chinese or Lithuanian student in your first year of studies of BA International Business, BA Business & Management, BA Business Finance and Management, or BA Economics?

Have you come to university straight from a secondary/high school (tertiary education)?

If so, we would like to hear from you!

WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DO?
The study will examine your academic reading skills. You will be asked to complete five paper-based tests. The tests will take place twice, towards the end of semester one and semester two, and you will be informed about your results at the end of the study.

WHAT WILL I GET FOR TAKING PART?
You will learn more about your reading skills and the potential problems you might have when reading academic texts.
You will be advised about the support available to improve your academic reading skills.
You will earn a £20 gift voucher (£10 voucher for each testing time).

The results of the tests will be anonymised, and used solely for research purposes.
