🎊 Today we celebrate International Older Persons Day🎊

To all of our members, volunteers and trustees, we salute you.

You may start off as strangers, struggling with everything life has thrown at you or just looking for a purpose. It may just be a friendly face and a chat over a brew or getting stuck in to a workshop project. But you come together, offer each other the support and friendship that has been lacking, you put back into the local community, providing younger generations with play and learning opportunities and creating items to enhance outdoor spaces for the benefit of the people and wildlife of Hull.

You stand together with a common purpose, shoulder to shoulder, brothers in arms and today we salute you.🫡

Not just ,'old' but GOLD 🥇

👏👏👏👏👏👏

Thank you to the amazing staff and customers of Cross Keys, Hull for providing the sweet treats for our members to enjoy today 🙏

Our boys are definitely feeling jolly after getting the news that Barchester's Charitable Foundation has provided funding for 2, yes 2 day trips out for us 😍

🚌 We'll be hitting the road soon, and be looking to have a better trip than Del & Rodney's Margate experience, so keep your eyes peeled for updates and pictures.

Recently we've been working with Castle Park Care Home to help improve their outside spaces and they've also been supporting us with generous donations of tea, coffee and biscuits to keep our members going. We love this kind of partnership working, and what a team to work with ❤

Thank you so much to you all at Barchester's Charitable Foundation

👷 Wow, what a week we've had!!!

🙏 A huge thank you to Joe, Ebony and the team at Wernick Group Limited Hull Depot for their generous donation of a storage unit, and also to Ian and Gilly from IKL for the professional HIAB service to install this and move our existing store to the rear of the shed.

✅ This will help us so much and make it a lot easier for our members to complete the many projects we get involved with to help our community.

🚜 Also a big thank you to Alwyne Hearne & son for preparing the area and making a safe level space for this all to happen.🪏

🤗 Have a great weekend ♥️

World Su***de Prevention Day – 10 September

On this day, Men in Sheds Hull members came together, talked, laughed and enjoyed a day out on "Tilly" in the sunshine. The feedback from our members has been amazing and really feeds our soul.

You can't underestimate the importance of talking to each other and knowing that you are not alone.
