Celebrating the Cuban revolution on this day in 1959, a great leap forward for the Cuban people and a beacon to revolutionary struggles the world over.
Even with a disgraceful inhuman economic blockaded by successive American governments the Cuban example of a planned economy shows that one of the poorest countries on earth can outperform the richest on earth on child mortality, homelessness, education, healthcare, longevity, literacy and many many more human benefits.
