A hate crime is any crime that is targeted at a person because of hostility or prejudice towards that person’s race or ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability. And it has no place on our campus. Hate incidents and hate crime are acts of violence or hostility directed at people because of who they are - or who someone thinks they are.
