It’s National Volunteers’ Week! 👩‍🌾

Join us for a week‑long celebration of the incredible volunteers who help make Cambo thrive.

Throughout the week, we’ll be shining a light on the people who give their time, energy, and passion to support the gardens, events, and wider estate. We warmly invite anyone interested in getting involved to come along.

As part of the celebrations, we’ll be hosting a Volunteer Recruitment Day on Tuesday 2 June, with a relaxed drop‑in session from 11am–1pm. This is a great opportunity to meet our Volunteering Coordinator, Niall, learn about the different roles available, and find out how you can become part of our supportive volunteer community.

To round off the week, we’re delighted to invite all current volunteers to a Volunteer Appreciation Day on Sunday 7 June at 2pm where we’ll be offering tea, coffee, soup, scones and cakes as a small thank‑you for everything you do. It’s a chance to come together, connect with fellow volunteers, and celebrate the impact you make across the estate.

Volunteers’ Week is all about community, connection, and recognising the people who help Cambo flourish and we’d love you to be part of it 🌱🍄🪴

Join us at Cambo on the 20th of June for Resilient Gardens, a day-long event for anyone gardening with sustainability in mind. Join us to explore how to design gardens that genuinely sustain life.

This year, our headline event will feature landscape designer Marian Boswall, author of The Kindest Garden.

Marian will talk through some of the very practical and thoughtful approaches we can take in any scale garden, from choosing plants to suit the stage of your garden’s soil, to creating a self supporting ecosystem above and below ground, to creating community resilience through gardening, and beauty through intention.

We will also hear from Holly Silvester of The Gaia Foundation and East Neuk Market Garden, who will explore the fascinating subject of seed sovereignty and how on a local level, we can build resilience into the systems that we rely on for sustenance.

Tickets to this event can be purchased through Cambo's Eventbrite page (link in bio).

We’re launching a brand new seasonal menu at the Café tomorrow, packed with colourful salads, comforting brunch favourites, homemade drinks & fresh summer flavours 🌿☀️

From BBQ pulled jackfruit burgers and watermelon & feta salad, to refreshing iced teas and our famous bruschetta - there’s something for everyone at Cambo this season 🥗🍵🍅

Famous, you ask? Last July alone, we sold over 1,000 bruschetta dishes! 👀✨

Seasonal produce comes straight from our Edible Garden to your table. Why not visit and see what vegetables, fruit, and herbs are growing at the moment? 🥒

The new menu will be available whenever the Cambo Gardens Café is open. Please check our previous post for opening hours or visit our website for more information. Brunch from 10-11:30 a.m. Lunch from 12-4 p.m.

Our café, and the produce we grow, is an important part of our charitable activity, and we can’t wait for you to try the new menu 💚
