Good news, walkers and wanderers — Craigencalt Trust is back with our Spring Walking Fest! 🙌 Between 8th and 22nd April we’ll be stretching legs (and smiles) on free guided walks along the coast from Limekilns to beyond Kirkcaldy, and up into the hills for some proper wow-factor views. ⛰️

Organised by Craigencalt Rural Community Trust and supported by Fife Council, this festival wouldn’t happen without our brilliant volunteer walk leaders — big thanks to them! 🥳🥳
There’s a walk for most abilities, a lovely way to get fitter, meet new faces, and spend a day outdoors.
❗Please register beforehand so we know you’re coming — registration and walks are free.
Lace up your boots and join the fun! 🥾

Snowdrop season is here and the woods are looking absolutely magical right now 🤍 If you’re looking for a gentle wander or something a little longer, here are two lovely routes to enjoy the snowdrops:

1. A perfect shorter walk with plenty of snowdrops along the way:🚶
Walk from the lochside up the woodland path and then down to the birdhide. Follow the steps up to the nursery entrance and bear left. ⚠️ Take care on this path is it is deteriorated, but there are lots of snowdrops along this section.🌸🌸🌸 Turn up Rodanbraes Path and go up around the troll 🧌. You will find lots of snowdrops here.🌸🌸 Go back down the path and back along the main track and turn right down the woodland path to the lochside once more.

2. Longer Snowdrop Walk:🚶‍♀️🚶
From Burntisland Golf Clubhouse walk up the Binnend Path (a feast of snowdrops in the woodland) at the top turn right for a short while and return down the Whinnyhall Path. (Steep but worth it 🌸🌸🌸)

Egg-hunting and storytelling with Craigencalt Trust on Easter Sunday.
Frodi the troll has hidden a winter store of eggs where he lives, ready for an Easter feast.
Can you hunt them out before he has a chance to scoff them all.
Then Marilyn will tell you all about the troll under his bridge on Rodanbraes Path. You can play games at the ruins of the old witches cottage.
The walk is free to children of all ages, but youngsters must be accompanied by an adult.
The walk is part of the Spring Walking Festival and the programme is at www.craigencalttrust.org.uk. Meet at the lochside carpark of Kinghorn Loch at Craigencalt Farm at 2pm on Sunday 31st March. Contact 07740999514 for further details.
