New Year, back to it.

Your Path Stewards Monday session took us to The Avenue next to the castle ruins, one of the most scenic paths in Eglinton Country Park .

We cut up a tree that had fallen over in recent high winds. Then we tidied the edging around the path to make it a wee bit more pleasing on the eye.

Thanks to Cunninghame Housing Association for choosing us for a Community Award. It's much appreciated by our group and will be put to good use in the local community.

A great day celebrating local groups who received funds from our Making Our Communities Better Places Fund. We can’t wait to see all the positive things this funding will help achieve.🎉

More photos from yesterday. Further work undertaken to try and reduce flooding on the river path towards the Ice House.

Another beautiful Monday morning, the sun shining for your Path Stewards 😎.

We headed past the Laundry Bridge to try and do something with the flooding created by the field sump above the riverside path.

We used drain rods to try and unblock the existing drain. Following some head scratching we eventually got there, reduced the flow across the path and also the volume of water in the field sump. It's not a permanent repair, but it's certainly a lot better than it was.

We also edged a bit of the pathway down beside the castle and carried out some litter picking as usual.

Some before and after pictures of Monday morning's session on the path towards the Ice House and Dovecot.

The path is very soft in parts due to bordering on wetlands just above it.

It's all good fun folks and every little helps keep pathways accessible.
