Today we say a very sad goodbye to honorary Rotarian the legendary Dolly Parton, who has died aged 80.

While the world will remember her incredible music, her kindness and her unmistakable personality, Dolly leaves another remarkable legacy through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, helping put millions of books into the hands of children around the world.

Through partnerships with organisations including Rotary International, that simple idea has helped inspire generations of children to discover the joy of reading.

Thank you so much to everyone who came along to the senior citizens concert at the Kilsyth & District Parish Church yesterday. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces (and quite a few new ones) from our local community.

A huge thank you to Mathie Lennox & Co. for their fantastic support during their Will Aid campaign earlier this year.

By generously offering professionally prepared Wills in return for a donation to Rotary Kilsyth, they gave members of our community the opportunity to put their affairs in order while supporting local good causes.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who took up this opportunity. Thanks to your generosity, an incredible >£2,500.00 was raised for Rotary Kilsyth!

Every penny will be put to good use supporting projects and initiatives within our local community, helping us continue to make a positive difference where it’s needed most.

As we enter the new Rotary year on 1st July, Rotary Kilsyth celebrated a special evening as we thanked President Mark Davidson for his leadership and dedication throughout the 2025–26 year where we .

Mark officially handed over the Chain of Office to Claire Walters, who begins her second term as President, having previously led the club during 2015–16. We are delighted to welcome Claire back into the role and look forward to her leadership, enthusiasm, and vision for the year ahead.
