Don’t forget - our Indoor Car Boot Sale takes place this Sunday at Crossroads Community Hub (KA1 5JQ).

There will be plenty of bargains to browse, tea, coffee and home baking available throughout the day, and an opportunity to enjoy some time in our Sensory Garden.

We will also have a selection of plants for sale, with all proceeds helping to support the work of the Hub.

There are still a few selling spaces available for anyone looking to clear out unwanted items, sell crafts or make some extra cash from preloved goods.

Did you know there's a free community food collection point available in Newmilns every Wednesday?

Since April, Crossroads Community Hub has been working in partnership with Irvine Valley Parish Church to provide a weekly FareShare collection point, helping local people access surplus food that would otherwise go to waste.

📍 Loudoun Church, 98 Main Street, Newmilns, KA16 9DH
(Access via the rear car park)

🕧 Every Wednesday, 12.30pm – 2.00pm

The collection point is open to anyone who could benefit from a little extra support with food shopping.

A huge thank you goes to the fantastic volunteers, whose time, commitment and hard work make this service possible each week.

Please help us spread the word so that those who may benefit know this support is available in the local community.

A big thank you to everyone who attended the first session of our FREE Back to Basics Cooking Workshop this week.

Participants got stuck in preparing homemade lentil soup and a versatile tomato-based sauce, learning practical skills and budget-friendly recipes that can be used at home.

It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm around the table, and we're already looking forward to welcoming everyone back next week.

There are still a few spaces available for anyone who would like to join the remaining sessions.

When the Ayrshire Food Hub Café and Farm Shop closed, many people felt like something special had been lost.

But while the café closed, Crossroads Community Hub has continued working away behind the scenes supporting local people across rural Ayrshire.

Now we are asking for your support to help bring life back into the Hub through community events, coffee mornings, workshops, family activities and more as we work towards rebuilding for the future.

With food costs continuing to rise, we’re launching a free “Back to Basics” Cooking Workshop to help people make affordable, nutritious meals from scratch.

The course focuses on:

We’ve redistributed over £250 worth of surplus food back into our communities - supporting local larders and ensuring good food doesn’t go to waste.

Alongside this, we’ve also been delivering frozen home cooked nutritious meals out to those who need them most.

All delivered by our brilliant volunteer driver using our electric van 🚐⚡

A big thank you to our partners at FareShare and local supermarkets for continuing to support this vital work.

This is the kind of work that continues every week - supporting individuals and families across our rural community.
