It is just frustrating that the government do not see how important this is! Why shouldn’t the Deaf community have access to critical & important information & announcements? Politicians, both nationally & locally want their votes, but do nothing to ensure the Deaf community have clear understanding of who they are & what they stand for! Not good enough!!

Your support would be much appreciated as we launch our new 𝓓𝓮𝓪𝓯 𝓵𝓮𝓭 𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓳𝓮𝓬𝓽 ~ 𝓗𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓼 𝓸𝓷 𝓗𝓪𝓲𝓻 𝓑𝔂 𝓛𝓪𝓷𝓪 ✂️ Lana is profoundly Deaf, is one of our Trustees at 𝓐𝔂𝓻𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓻𝓮 𝓓𝓮𝓪𝓯 𝓒𝓵𝓾𝓫 𝓢𝓒𝓘𝓞 & a student at Ayrshire College, Kilmarnock To begin with, 𝓗𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓼 𝓞𝓷 𝓗𝓪𝓲𝓻 𝓑𝔂 𝓛𝓪𝓷𝓪 will offer services: cut & blow-dry, and/or hair styling for women, men & children, other hairdressing procedures will be added going forward.

👍 Not all Deaf people can lipread
👍Lipreading is a vital communication aid
👍Many words & sounds look nearly identical on
the lips (e.g “biscuits" & "big kiss")
👍Lipreading requires deep concentration & can
be mentally exhausting

Huge congratulations to Michael Woods on successfully summiting Everest and becoming the first UK deaf mountaineer to achieve this incredible milestone.

A few years ago, Lipspeaker UK was proud to support Michael during the earlier stages of his Everest journey. Watching that ambition become reality is something really special.

This achievement represents years of determination, resilience, preparation and belief.

Congratulations Michael from all of us at Lipspeaker UK. An extraordinary achievement and an inspiring moment for the deaf community and beyond.
