Since the original in-principal planning approval for houses at Kilmacolm Meadow, the developer has changed, and the site is now being promoted by Barratt Redrow.
They have submitted proposed changes to layout, and because these changes are considered significant, they must be assessed through a new application.
Inverclyde Council will now re-assess the *detailed* design of the development, against the provisions of the statutory development plan, including National Planning Framework 4, and residents are invited to review and comment on the revised proposals.
NPF 4 means the Council must consider the impact of any development against relevant Policies, which we note includes (but isn’t limited to);
* Biodiversity - enhancement of biodiversity, restoring degraded habitats, and strengthening nature networks
* Play, Recreation and Sport - including protection of informal recreation such as walking routes, informal open space, and dog walking areas
* Blue and Green Infrastructure - integrating nature and water management
🚨 Residents must comment by 27 March 🚨
