Wednesday already tomorrow! How did that happen?

We are continuing our sessions with Bernie Millar Irish Artist thanks to funding that received from which is a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

Every project we do is carefully designed so that those with Dementia and their family carers can participate at a level that suits them. We can't wait to get started and will obviously get some great pics for you to see how creative our folks are and the great fun they will be having.

We were making our own jigsaws with Bernie Millar Irish Artist this week as part of our 6 week therapeutic art project.

We all also enjoyed fabulous lunches from Cunningham Butchers, Food Hall & Steak House, Kilkeel thanks to funding that received from which is a program managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). Thank you so much for your support which is funding our art (see pics in another post), lunches and room hire 👍

Our lunches were delicious, as they always are from Cunninghams 🤤 - roll on next week!! ❤️

People with Dementia take their social cues from those around them. So, if everybody around them is eating, they will too. Our carers say that their loved one is happier eating together with their friends and family and actually eats more food during these times. That is always a good thing ❤️

🧑‍🎄🎄 Save the dates, 6th-9th Dec 2026 from 5pm onwards 🧑‍🎄🎄

We are going to mention the C word - you have been warned! 😁

We're absolutely over the moon to share that Jacqueline and Andrew McMurdie music have chosen our Dementia Memories Cafe as the charity for their . We can't thank them enough. This will be held at their legendary Home in Banbridge. Everyone that's been previously will tell you these are AMAZING events and J&A put so much effort into making their home so festive for everyone to enjoy!

There will be superb music (of course) and lots of lovely surprises. Further details will follow soon but in the meantime, SAVE THE DATES folks.

Today is International Day for Older Persons.

We need to celebrate the experience, wisdom and contributions of older people. They enrich our communities through caring, volunteering, mentoring, preserving traditions and strengthening relationships. Their voices matter, helping create kinder, more connected communities where every generation matters.

Tell the special older people in your life just how much they mean to you!

As part of our 6 week therapeutic art project yesterday we all enjoyed fabulous lunches from Cunningham Butchers, Food Hall & Steak House, Kilkeel thanks to funding that received from which is a program managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). Thank you so much for your support which is funding our art (see pics in another post), lunches and room hire 👍

Our lunches were delicious, as they always are from Cunninghams. We got wired into Chicken and Broccoli Bake, wedges and I don’t need to tell you how popular the chocolate fudge cake was 🤤 - roll on next week!! ❤️
