2023 - with a eucalyptus tree in the front garden we could add some extra lights again. Unfortunately due to some technical issue with various lights, including the sleigh and reindeer which required solder repairs, and some other lights needing replacement we didn't get chance to get any more lights up on the house this year.

We have some plans for upgrades to various lights next year so we're hoping to go bigger and better.

2022! A few small tweaks to the lights again. We modified the tree lights to be attached to a wire frame which made installation much quicker allowing us to make a new addition - the minifigure and brick. Again a custom display made on wireframe and he is made using fully programmable lights - we can change him and the brick to any colour or pattern we like. Super impressed with the new lights.

2021's lights. We added a few more lights to the windows and the addition of a real Christmas tree meant we could add some extra lights to the garden too! A few tweaks to Santa's sleigh was made too.

2020. We created a custom santa sleigh with reindeer on our new fence. This was using standard led shop bought leds with coloured covers tied to a wire frame.

2019. This was basically where it all began. We had done some lights on the house prior to this but it was fairly basic. We were still doing some construction work on the house this year! We had bought most of the lights back in 2012 to put on our wedding marque! The Christmas Tree was made by using wall clips and attaching the lights with wire ties directly to the wall clips. It took so long to do I almost ended up freezing!

After a number of years of having our christmas lights just for fun we have decided to use them to do some good and raise some money for local charities and good causes.

Each year we have tried to add a new set of lights to our display and we will attempt to continue this by upgrading and making new lights.

We have a GoFundMe page setup where you can donate to the local charities we have picked. We hope to get to our target and then will pick another charity to donate to.

Our first charity is The Well in Kibworth. Please click below to donate. Any amount is gratefully received. Any money donated through the GoFundMe will be sent directly to the charity.

We also have a second GoFundMe (linked via the charity fundraiser page) where should you wish you can donate to our lighting fund to assist us with adding and replacing lights for the next year.

The aim of this page is to try and document our success (and possibly failures) with our displays, we will also put a post on here when we turn the lights on so anybody local can either walk or drive by to take a look each year.
