Dave Day began as a tribute to Dave Myers, one half of the much loved Hairy Bikers, following his passing in February 2024. What started as a charity memorial ride between friends quickly became something far bigger, bringing together tens of thousands of bikers.

This year one of our brothers & his partner put on their obligatory hawaiian shirts & joined 40000 other bikers on the ride to Barrow.

A wonderful June meeting today for the brothers of Columbanus Lodge 9941 which was held at Staple Hill Masonic Hall in BRISTOL.

A dress rehearsal for next months meeting where we will be holding & explaining the second degree ritual with a special visit from provincial officers from somerset.

Thank you to all who took part & the caterers who laid on a delicious summer festive board.

If any freemasons are available to attend next months meeting, we would love to host you & welcome you even if you dont ride a motorbike!

Congratulations to Jonny Spencer on his 1,000-mile “Monkey Bike Challenge” from John o’ Groats to Land’s End.
Jonny is undertaking the ride to raise money for The The Freemasons' Charity & was met on his Glastonbury leg of his journey by one of our own brothers from Columbanus Lodge to wish him well and offer our support.

The month of May sees the start of our 2026 Lodge meetings at Columbanus Lodge. We start our year with a demonstration of the first-degree ritual with an explanation of what takes place and why. For most of us, Our entered apprentice degree is a distant memory, so a reminder of the start of our journey into Freemasonry seemed a fitting start to our year.

If you are an existing freemason with at least an entered apprentice degree, or a master mason wanting to learn more about the initiation ceremony, we would love to see you.
