The new Plan responds to feedback provided by island communities directly to the Scottish Government via the consultation process, engagements sessions and the Scottish Islands Federation.

Part of that feedback highlighted the lack of awareness of the first version of the Plan within island communities, in response the Scottish Government is keen to engage directly with island communities to raise awareness, this includes sessions during the summer in partnership with the Scottish Islands Federation to outline the next steps in regard to implementation of the Plan in its first year. https://www.gov.scot/publications/national-islands-plan-2/

I’m running a day behind and missed getting the Trust Times to Irene on time, so we popped into the shops and added it ourselves a day later.
Unfortunately, this means some copies of the Sanday Sound may not have the Trust Times tucked inside. We’re very sorry!
Extra copies have been left in the shops alongside the Sanday Sound. Alternatively, please contact or pop into the office and we’ll happily print a copy for you.

We’re inviting young people to register their interest in activities such as sport, music, arts, drama and dance. Once we’ve received the registrations, we can assess how many young people the project may be able to support with travel and accommodation, and for how long. Please be aware: The charging or storage of personal e-scooters, e-bikes and other personal electric vehicles is strictly prohibited at Heilsa Fjold. This includes using the centre’s electricity to charge personal vehicles outside. Authorised Heilsa Fjold vehicles are exempt. Thank you for your cooperation.
