Last night we had our very own Paul Hirst talk about End Polio Now and his 3 trips to India to help with the immunisation - simply wonderful. We are super proud of our members that have given up their time and at their expense to help others 💜

In the summer we were delighted to sponsor Eli to attend the Young RYLA at Graftham Water Centre. It was great to hear that ‘this was one of their best weeks of their life!’

The aim of RYLA is to enable young people to develop life skills that will help them in their everyday life and future careers. This is achieved through undertaking different and sometimes challenging tasks but within a safe environment. By improving communication skills, develop leadership and team building skills it improves initiative and develops self- reliance.

Well done Eli for working hard!

This is just another way Rotary are involved in youth projects in the area.

Today is World Polio Day 💜

Rotary around the world, alongside Bill Gates Foundation, has been trying to eradicate polio. Polio is now on present in only two countries and Rotary continues to fund vaccinations worldwide.

Tonight the Parish church has been lit in purple to represent the purple marker painted on the children’s pinky fingers when they have received their vaccine.

Last night we were delighted to have our District Governor, Dawn Denton, come and talk to us. She delivered the message from our Rotary International President to ‘be the best we can be’. We also loved hearing how Dawn joined a male only club to bring women into Rotary in Towcester, something we feel strongly about. Thank you Dawn.

Well done to Shine Arts & Well Being for providing the most wonderful facility for clients to enjoy. Our members, Ben Jameson and Steve Warren, were very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Keep up the amazing work

The Harmony and Handmade Showdown craft show afternoon has been great, with just an hour left to come along and enjoy some soup while viewing the talent. Then doors open again at 6pm for the talent show tonight! Tickets are £10 and are available on the door 🎟️
