💜 Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month 💜
This month, we're helping to raise awareness of gynaecological cancers and the importance of knowing the signs and symptoms.
Gynaecological cancers include:
✔ Ovarian cancer
✔ Cervical cancer
✔ Womb (uterine/endometrial) cancer
✔ Vulval cancer
✔ Vaginal cancer
Many symptoms can be easy to overlook, but it's important to know what is normal for your body and seek medical advice if something doesn't feel right.
Symptoms may include:
🔹 Unusual vaginal bleeding
🔹 Persistent bloating
🔹 Pelvic or abdominal pain
🔹 Changes in bladder or bowel habits
🔹 Unexplained weight loss
🔹 Persistent itching, soreness, or changes in the vulval area
While these symptoms can have many causes, it is always worth getting them checked by your GP.
Early diagnosis can make a significant difference.
If you or a loved one have been affected by gynaecological cancer, remember that support is available. The Macmillan Centre can provide information, emotional support, and signposting to services that can help.
💚 You don't have to face cancer alone.
