4 DAYS BEFORE Introduction to Shamanism
21st June 2026
Have you ever felt drawn to the old ways, to nature, or to something deeper that is difficult to put into words?
Perhaps you’ve heard the word “Shamanism” before but never truly understood what it means, or maybe you feel called to explore your own spiritual connection in a grounded and meaningful way.
This day workshop offers a gentle and practical introduction to shamanic practice in a safe, supportive, and sacred space. Together, we will explore ancient practices that help us reconnect with ourselves, the natural world, and the unseen wisdom that surrounds us.
More than simply experiencing shamanic journeying, this workshop is designed to give you the understanding, confidence, and foundational tools to begin developing your own personal practice beyond the day itself. Our intention is that you leave feeling empowered to continue exploring, journeying, and deepening your connection in your own way and at your own pace.
Throughout the day, we will explore:
~ The foundations of shamanism — its history, principles, and core practices.
~ Guided shamanic journeying to connect with your power animal, spirit guides, and inner wisdom.
~ Journeying to the Upper, Middle, and Lower Worlds, learning how these realms can offer guidance, insight, healing, and perspective.
~ Practical ways to begin weaving shamanic practices into everyday life, helping you create and nurture your own ongoing spiritual practice.
This workshop is open to complete beginners as well as those wishing to deepen an existing spiritual path. No previous experience is needed — only curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore.
Guided by Jen Maxwell & Jim “Wolf” Gardner
Jen Grange is a Celtic shamanic practitioner, empowerment coach, and firewalk instructor based within the ancient landscape of Cumbria. Deeply connected to the land and elements, her work is rooted in the old ways, honouring the wisdom found within the seasons, nature, and lunar cycles. Jen creates spaces that encourage healing, reconnection, and personal transformation.
Originally from Texas, Jim Gardner is a Toltec shamanic minister and workshop facilitator whose own journey led him away from external ideas of success and towards a deeper search for meaning, fulfilment, and joy. Through his work, Jim supports others in reconnecting with themselves and discovering what truly matters to them.
