David and the team at Castlerigg Hall caravan camping glamping park are holding a coffee afternoon on Saturday 5th September between 12-4 to raise funds the Lake District Calvert Trust.

Visitors and non-residents welcome! Pop on down, grab a slice of something tasty and support a local charity at the same time.

Thanks to everyone who visited our stand at Keswick Show last weekend and well done to our competition winner!

A great big thank you also to BoothsCountry who kindly donated a bag full of delicious goodies as a prize (which we were very nearly raided!).

The ponies loved their day out and it was an absolute pleasure to speak to so many people, familiar faces and new ones, about Calvert Lakes, Calvert Stables and what we do.

We are VERY excited to announce the opening of our BRAND NEW sensory room!

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, the recently refurbished sensory room will be open to visitors from tomorrow. And to celebrate, we're inviting our local community to visit for FREE on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September.

Booking is essential - call or email to book a slot.

Just some of the fantastic new features include:

🫟 UV wall panel
🫟 Sound box and vibration pads
🫟 Infinity wall tunnel
🫟 Bubble tubes
🫟 Interactive floor and wall projectors
🫟 Padded snug with coloured lighting

From tomorrow, daily hour-long sessions are also available to book between 9.30am - 4.30pm. Join a public slot or book a private session. Visitors of all ages and abilities are welcome.

Our fantastic wellbeing committee recently organised a Wimbledon-inspired Table Tennis tournament for the whole team and it did not disappoint!

The Grand Final took place last week and we're delighted to announce that Head Chef Mike won 🏆

Congratulations Mike 🥇 and well done to everyone who took part. Special mention to Chris who took second place in the final 🥈

Thanks to our vertically challenged umpire and everyone who turned up on the day to heckle, jeer and egg on the athletes, and a huge thank you to our wonderful Wellbeing Committee for organising such a fun competition.

We can't wait to see what you've got up your sleeve next 👀

🌕 The recent solar eclipse had us all hooked. Do you want to learn more about the night sky?!

Our Dark Skies weekend offers the perfect opportunity to star gaze away from distracting noise and light pollution. Calvert Lakes benefits from a stunning rural location in the heart of the Lake District National Park with uninterrupted night skies that stretch over the nearby mountains. And we'll throw in a few adventures too!
