🚀 THEY’RE READY TO TAKE FLIGHT! 🚀

Tomorrow, our latest team of fearless fundraisers will be heading to Hangloose Adventure at Bluewater to take on the ultimate Zipwire challenge!

Taking the leap tomorrow morning will DGT’s very own Abbie Johnson, Saqib Ghani, Charlotte Paterson and Stuart Waterman 😎🚀

Between them, this fantastic team have already raised over £600, with their fundraising being shared between our Friends and Little Buds Funds. What an incredible achievement! 👏👏

A huge thank you to all four for stepping outside their comfort zones and taking on this challenge to support our patients across Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust. 💙

We wish our four daredevils the very best of luck for their flights. Take a deep breath, enjoy the view and… DON’T LOOK DOWN! 😂🚀

The 2027 Dartford Half Marathon is Darent Valley Hospital (DVH)’s home fixture and will be held on Sunday 21st February.

This CLOSED ROAD Half Marathon route is the perfect opportunity to set a new PB or simply enjoy a fun morning run with a unique themed medal waiting for you at the finish!

Heading out from Central Park, via South Darenth, into the Kent countryside then returning to Dartford town centre to finish on the athletics track in Central Park, this is definitely a race you’ll want to get involved in! 😃😃

Register from £20 (£40 if you book direct), raise a minimum of £85 for Valley Hospital Charity and support our very own NHS Trust and the community it serves!🏃‍♂️🏃🏻🏃‍♀️

Raise the minimum target by February 1st 2027 and we will provide you with fundraising support and a FREE charity running vest to wear on the day!

🏴‍☠️🎨 A HUGE thank you to our wonderful supporters at GXO ! 💙

We’d like to give a massive shoutout to the fantastic Mel, Ashley and Jurate, who have given the pirate ship in our Willow Ward garden some much-needed TLC — and a brilliant new paint job! 🖌️✨

The transformation is amazing! The ship has been completely brought back to life and is looking better than ever. 🏴‍☠️⛵

We simply can’t thank you enough for your incredible dedication, kindness and generosity. Your hard work has made such a difference and will bring smiles to so many children and families who enjoy our garden. 💙

Massive congratulations to the wonderful Carole Sheehan, who successfully completed the East Leake ‘End of Season Sprint’ Triathlon last weekend! 👏🙌

And what makes this achievement even more special? It was Carole’s very first Triathlon! 💪

Carole said: “I had a great day and absolutely loved it! I would definitely encourage others to give it a go!”

As if taking on her first-ever triathlon wasn’t challenge enough, Carole has also gone above and beyond by raising over £600 for our Friends Fund! 🎉💙

On Sunday 6th September we attended the Town Mayor of Swanscombe and Greenhithe, Cllr Dawn Johnston, Dog Show in Ingress Park, bringing together dog lovers from across the area and raising significant funds for the Town Mayors' charities.

We were proud to host a fundraising and awareness stall, and were honoured to judge the 'Medical Marvel' category, honouring dogs who have faced challenges and triumphed with resilience and spirit.

The Dog Show is estimated to have raised around £1,000, with proceeds being divided between Valley Hospital Charity and North Kent Mind.

The Dog Show featured a variety of categories, welcoming canines of all breeds, shapes, sizes, and even costumes! From tiny terriers to majestic hounds, the competition was lively and tugged at the heartstrings of attendees.

Thanks to everyone who attended, participated, and supported this 'paw-some' event!
