The past two sessions of YAC have been very full. We did a dig of cup and ring marks in Aberfeldy with Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust and DunkeldYAC. Some of the group were drawing some of the marks and others were digging and found bits of old farming equipment.
We then last Saturday had a session of foraging and cooking. Found rosehips, elder and rowan berries, horse chestnuts, and yarrow as well as radish pods from the Crannog kitchen garden.
We made an apple, berry and yarrow compote that customers enjoyed and attempted to start the process of making soap from the horse chestnuts.
